A good experiment is replicable.

The results of some experiments are simply due to chance. To rule out this possibility, an experiment needs to be replicable. That is, the experiment must be precisely constructed so that other people might recreate the experiment to see if they can get the same results as the original experiment, in order to rule out the possibility that the results are due only to chance or even fraud.
