A master production schedule contains information about

A master production schedule (MPS) contains information about the quantities and required delivery dates of final products. It does not contain information about subassemblies or inventory on hand for either subassemblies or final products. While scheduled receipts for final products may be included in an MPS, it is not the primary purpose of the document.
