Both psychological and physical fidelity deal with creating training environments that are only partially similar to real situations. At a basic level, it deals with having trainees experiment in scenarios that are NOT likely to occur in real life. This allows trainees to generalize behaviours.

Psychological Fidelity

The extent to which a simulation or training environment accurately replicates the psychological aspects of a real-world scenario.

Training Environments

The settings or platforms in which training activities and learning processes occur, ranging from traditional classrooms to virtual spaces.

Partially Similar

Sharing some but not all characteristics or features, indicating a degree of resemblance but also differences.

  • Recognizing the importance of realistic training environments for skill generalization.
