The type of content that does not interest me is technical jargon or dense, dry academic writing. I struggle to stay engaged and focused when reading material that is overly complex or lacks real-world relevance.

Three reading strategies that I would use to retain and use this information successfully are:

1. Active reading: This involves engaging with the material by asking questions, making connections, and summarizing key points. I would actively highlight and annotate the text, jot down questions or thoughts in the margins, and create a summary or outline of the main ideas.

2. Break it down: Instead of trying to tackle the entire piece of uninteresting material at once, I would break it down into smaller, manageable sections. By setting specific goals for each reading session and taking breaks in between, I can maintain focus and retain more information.

3. Relate it to real life: Finding ways to connect the uninteresting material to real-life examples or personal experiences can make it more meaningful and easier to remember. I would try to relate the content to my own interests or experiences, or think about how it might be applicable in a practical context.
