Backflows refers to the return of workers to the countries from which they originally emigrated. The anticipated job is not found in the new country, living costs are higher than anticipated, anticipated raises and promotions do not happen, and the costs of being away from family and friends are greater than expected are all reasons the immigrants return home. Additionally, backflows can occur if the skills the immigrant possesses are not transferable to the new country.
