What is one reason to be skeptical of the adaptive leadership approach?

Student may name any of the following critiques of adaptive leadership: little empirical research on the model; the factors in the adaptive process are unclear as to how they work together; the approach is too wide ranging and abstract; no clear explanation of how morals or ethics fit in.
