The exit technique is used when a sale is not made. The salesperson should use the exit technique by saying, "Mr. Smith, would you do one thing for your company? Would you please think about what we discussed? Please look over this material and the price sheet. I know (product name) is needed by your organization. Please call me if you have any questions. Would it be all right, Mr. Smith, if I come by in a month or so to see what you think about (product name)?" Thank the prospect for the opportunity, shake hands, and leave in a positive and friendly manner.
