In a small group with your classmates, select a population in need of group services. Prepare a brief statement of the purpose of the group. Decide on inclusion and exclusion criteria for group members. Prepare an agenda for a group intake/orientation meeting.

On May 19, 2024

Our small group has decided to focus on providing group services to the homeless population in our community. The purpose of our group is to provide support, resources, and assistance to help homeless individuals improve their living situations and overall well-being.

In terms of inclusion criteria, we will welcome any homeless individuals who are seeking assistance and support. Exclusion criteria will be minimal, but we will not be able to accommodate individuals who are currently under the influence of drugs or alcohol during group meetings.

For our group intake/orientation meeting, our agenda will include:
1. Welcome and introductions
2. Overview of the group's purpose and goals
3. Explanation of the services and resources we will provide
4. Discussion of group guidelines and expectations
5. Individual goal-setting and needs assessment
6. Q&A and opportunity for individuals to share their thoughts and concerns
7. Next steps and scheduling of future group meetings

We believe that by providing a welcoming and supportive environment, we can make a positive impact on the lives of homeless individuals in our community.
