Explain the difference between dumping and parallel importing.

Dumping refers to a firm selling a product in a foreign country below its domestic price or below its actual cost. Parallel importing, also known as the gray market, refers to companies pricing their products very high in some countries but competitively in others. Individuals then buy products in a lower-priced country from an authorized retailer, ship them to higher-priced countries, and sell them below the suggested retail price through unauthorized retailers.
