Give an example of latent learning that you might see in your own life.

On May 08, 2024

An example of latent learning in my own life would be when I was learning to drive. At first, I was only focused on the basic mechanics of operating the car and following traffic laws. However, as I gained more experience, I started to notice that I was learning the layout of the city and the best routes to take without actively trying to memorize them. This is an example of latent learning, where I was absorbing information and skills without immediate reinforcement or awareness of the learning process. Over time, this latent learning became evident as I was able to navigate the city more efficiently and confidently.
