Acceptance sampling is a method of measuring random samples of lots or batches of products against predetermined standards. Acceptance sampling is not 100% inspection. Based on sampling results, the entire batch is either accepted or rejected. A batch may contain small numbers of defects and still meet the standard for acceptance.
